On Friday, 18 July 2025, Netstar's recovery operations once again demonstrated why we remain a trusted name in connected vehicle safety.

Recovery 1

White Kia K2700 | Stolen in Pinetown | Recovered in P-Section, KwaMashu At 11:57, our control room received an alert: a white Kia K2700 had been stolen in the Pinetown area. Netstar’s advanced tracking systems quickly traced the vehicle entering KwaMashu. Our ground recovery team was immediately activated, working in close coordination with Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team and SAPS. The vehicle was located and successfully recovered in P-Section, KwaMashu, before being returned to its rightful owner.

Recovery 2

White Toyota Dyna | Stolen in Umgeni Business Park | Recovered in M-Section, KwaMashu Just a few hours later, at 14:33, another alert came in. A white Toyota Dyna had been stolen from outside a client’s premises in Umgeni Business Park. Netstar’s response teams were quickly deployed. Thanks to joint efforts between our ground team, Marshall Security, and the Durban North SAPS Trio Crimes Unit, the vehicle was found abandoned in M-Section, KwaMashu, and secured.

Recovery 3

Vehicle Stolen in Chatsworth | Recovered in V-Section, Umlazi Later that evening, at approximately 21:14, intelligence led to the location of a third stolen vehicle, which had been taken from the Chatsworth area earlier in the day. Working alongside Marshall Security and Umlazi SAPS, Netstar supported the recovery operation in V-Section, Umlazi, where the vehicle was found abandoned.

These recoveries highlight the critical role of:

  • Real-time telematics and tracking

  • Strong partnerships with SAPS and private security forces
  • Local intelligence and coordinated execution
